About Us

Public Services is one of the four academic departments of the Chicago State University Library. This department is responsible for all library functions that involve direct contact with library patrons. It offers Reference Services and Library Instructions, coordinates Access Services (Circulation, Interlibrary

Loan and Reserves), and Government Documents, provides the Education Resource Center, Music and Performing Arts, and Periodicals. Along with the faculty of other departments, the LISPS faculty select materials for the library’s collection and serve as liaisons to other departments, schools and colleges at CSU.
