Reserves

Course reserves allow faculty to place any print or electronic materials on reserves such as: books, periodical articles, class notes for the use of students enrolled in their classes. Items, depending on their format, may be available in hard copy at the Circulation Desk, or online through the Library Catalog.

Electronic Reserves

Online material is accessed through the Library's Docutek electronic reserve system or the professor's Blackboard. Instructors may provide hardcopy materials at the Circulation Desk.

It is required that faculty request an account to get started. Once approved, go ahead by filling out an online form for electronic submission; or a PDF version to be printed for mailing. Faculty may choose to manage their own electronic reserves account or have the library staff manage it for them. A PowerPoint overview and introduction of Electronic Reserves and Fair Use is highly recommended for a new user. Detailed how-to’s can also be found from this Step-by-Step Guide.

Students should check the Student Brochure for instruction and FAQs for details.

Print Reserves

Discover media and print items on reserve by course, department, and instructor via the library catalog, and then click "Course Reserves" in the center of the page.

Hours of Operation

We are staffed to assist you during those hours in which the library is open. Interlibrary Loan requests after 5:00 PM are recorded at the Reference Desk and processed the following day.
