Chicago State University has become a governing member of the Chicago Collections Consortium. The Chicago Collections Consortium (CCC) consists of libraries, museums, and other institutions with archives that preserve the history and culture of the Chicago region. The CCC aspires to increase public and scholarly interest in and study of the Chicago region's diverse history and culture. Other members of the CCC include, but are not limited to Alliance Française de Chicago, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago History Museum, Newberry Library, and Northwestern University. The CCC is a growing organization and expects to bring on other institutions within the coming year.

Being a member of the CCC will allow CSU to promote the institutional archives as well as the special collections to a wider audience and allow us to contribute to the overall history and culture of Chicago. Items from various collections of the CSU Archives and Special Collections will be a part of the CCC first public exhibition at the Chicago Public Library’s Harold Washington Library Center August 8-November 15, 2015.
