Acceptable Usage of the Web Site
Chicago State University's Library provides Internet access via its web pages to materials and resources on the World Wide Web. Some resources are licensed from commercial vendors, and others are free. The Library furnishes access to these and other information resources from public computers located throughout the libraries. This site and these systems are available for legitimate academic purposes only: undergraduate and graduate education, teaching, and research. Using library resources for activities such as personal e-mail, chat rooms, and recreational Web surfing is discouraged. The Library has a Computer Use Policy which governs the use of library computer equipment. All University policies regarding use of campus networks, hardware, and software apply and will be enforced. Consult the CSU Acceptable Use of Computing Resources Policy and the CSU E-Mail Policy for more information.

We are aimed at delivering standards compliant applications. By following open standards such as CSS, the library helps create compatible access. Principles of the Disability Research Institute (DRI) are obeyed. We build toward the following standards:
A note on Internet Explorer 6: This browser is not standards compliant. The box model upon which layout is so dependent is unique and carries conflicting definitions. We attempt to make our pages work so that information can be found using this browser, but the layouts are unattractive and difficult. Windows XP with Internet Explorer 7 forms a useful and mostly compatible combination for CSU software.
